    Clearbit

Real-time data enrichment for leads and companies with firmographic and technographic data.

How we use and teach Clearbit in the community

What it is, in plain English

Clearbit’s public homepage states it has joined HubSpot and frames Clearbit as a B2B data foundation: combine public web data, proprietary data, and LLM-assisted structuring to deliver clean lead, contact, and account fields with global coverage and many languages.

Use cases highlighted include record enrichment, real-time scoring and routing using fit signals, granular industry taxonomies, corporate hierarchies for parent and subsidiary routing, normalized roles and seniorities for ICP mapping, revealing buying intent from website visitors via IP intelligence dashboards, and dynamic form shortening that collects fewer fields when enrichment can fill the rest.

How we use it on real work

We plan HubSpot object model impacts before toggling enrichment so required fields and consent stay aligned with compliance.

    • Define which Clearbit fields are authoritative versus CRM-native fields.
    • Visitor reveal programs need explicit privacy disclosures where required.
    • Score and route rules should be tested with RevOps before live traffic.
    • If migrating from standalone Clearbit assumptions, re-read current HubSpot packaging.

How we teach it in the community

Beginners trace one lead from form submit through enrichment to owner assignment. Advanced users tune scoring models.

    • Exercise: shorten a form, measure completion rate change for one landing page.
    • Map NAICS or SIC usage to your ICP language in plain terms.
    • Office hours: when visitor intent is actionable versus noisy.

Good fit, and when we’d pick something else

Fits HubSpot-centric teams that want embedded enrichment, routing, and visitor intelligence. Non-HubSpot stacks should verify integration path and SKU.

    • Good when: inbound volume needs faster qualification without longer forms.
    • Good when: you want hierarchy-aware routing for complex accounts.
    • Skip or lighten up when: you are not on HubSpot for CRM.
    • Skip when: data governance cannot agree on enrichment overwrite policy.
